The village of Lewannick is five miles south west of Launceston in Cornwall, a mile off the main A30 road. From it's position near the top of a hill there are views of nearby Bodmin moor.
The Parish of Lewannick also contains the villages of Polyphant and Trevadlock and the hamlets of Tinney Hall, Trenhorne, Trevell and Plusha.
Lewannick village has a Shop and Post Office, Pub, Church, School, Village Hall, Doctor's Surgery, Garage and Old People's Home.
Lewannick is a small village with a big heart. We're proud of our strong sense of community and busy social life with many regular events including The Annual Pantomime, May Day Celebrations with Maypole Dancing, Whist, Gardening Club and Spring Flower Show, Cinema, Annual Flower and Produce show, combined Anglican and Methodist services at St Martin's Church, weekly Darts, Euchre and Quiz Nights at the Archer Arms, regular Wine & Wisdom, Over 50's voice, and other social events.
Feel free to join us for any of these or drop into the Archer Arms to sample the Food and Ale.
Polyphant is notable for it's beautiful tree-lined green which occupies the centre of the village. It has a Methodist Church which also serves as a village meeting place.
